ABOUT
Phamai is a non-profit organization
(Org.nr: 917642532) registered in Norway on the 6th of September 2016. We are supported by the Kavli Trust and focus on education through our Learning Lab, and plastic recycling through the Clean the Jungle program.
We are situated in Phonsavath Village in Laos, where we aim to provide quality education to children whilst boosting village economy. Aay Sinthala is our founder and local manager in Laos. He is accompanied by Daeng and Ana locally, and a whole bunch of volunteers worldwide.

OUR VISION
Our vision
... is to provide children in Laos with the tools they need to create the future they deserve. We further aim to offer safe employment to communities in Laos by listening to their local needs, creating possibilities and being sustainably aware.
Our educational mission
... is to give underprivileged communities in Laos the possibility to create better opportunities for its children by offering a quality education based on local needs, and that this leads to a satisfactory future in terms of possibilities and resources.
Our sustainability mission
... is to communicate the importance of preserving the Lao nature, and initiate sustainable projects which can reduce harmful ecological processes and clean up the jungle.
For people living in Laos, one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia, possibilities and resources are scarce. Many lives are affected by hazardous work conditions, and the problems start where education stops. This is why we at Aay's Village offer valuable education to provide children with the tools they need to create the future they deserve.
Our Guiding Principles
... are to include people from all walks of life, treat everyone equally, consider our environmental footprint and always work from a local perspective. We want to be open-minded; our organization is not built on any religious or political agenda but we work hard to respect everyone.
